Overall Satisfaction with NX CAD
NX is our main CAD software tool in the company. Our whole components, appliances, and fixtures/tools are designed with NX. We build up 150% of the assemblies of our appliance. Right now we are starting with MBD, where also our main problems are located, due to some missing functionalities or not fully supported functions, like mirrored parts with PMI.
- Great range of possibilities.
- Good improvements in performance in the last years.
- Excellent support of legacy data.
- Some functionalities are introduced early, like the new sketch solver.
- PMI could support ISO standards better than today, like modifiers.
- Generally IRs and PRs could be solved faster, at least more feedback could be provided.

- Too many releases and too few bug fixes for existing releases have a high impact on our IT demand.
- Sometimes too much customization is needed.
