Okta - Two thumbs up!
Overall Satisfaction with Okta
Our organization uses Okta for identity management and single sign on. It is also used as a tool to reset Active Directory passwords for remote employees. Before using Okta, remote employees would need to VPN in to change their passwords. This is no longer the case and employees can avoid having the surprise of an expired AD password.
Pros
- Network password resets
- Identity management
- Password management for web apps
- Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) for a variety of web apps
Cons
- I would like to see more apps that can use SAML
- No more tickets about forgotten passwords for web apps
- Employees no longer need our assistance to reset their AD passwords
We did a demo of PingOne for a SSO solution. We had many issues with it and it did not integrate well with some of our web apps. Okta seemed to be the exact opposite for us and it worked flawlessly. The ability for users to reset their AD passwords through it was a huge bonus since it was an issue we were fighting.
