Overall Satisfaction with Onshape

We have been using Onshape for 3 years now, and we witnessed the continuous improvement of its features. Overall, it has a user-friendly environment and is similar to other CAD software. It is not ideal though for creating detailed wire harness models.
  • "Where used" feature is a great add-on.
  • Simplified constraints.
  • Data Management helped us checked and approved the files easily.
  • Wire harness or cabling features.
  • Auto-display of Checker/Approver's name on the drawing file.
  • Adding thread lines on threaded parts (2D).
  • Effective collaboration with other designers.
  • Improved access to data resulting to ease of turn-over or transfer of projects.
  • Accelerated time to market.
Onshape's support team is very prompt in helping us resolve issues. They are very adept at dealing with technical problems, documentation, and troubleshooting.
The implementation of Onshape provides us not just design solutions, but also process solutions.

Onshape is very well suited for creating models for industrial designs and prototyping. It is not ideal though for creating detailed wire harness models.
