Overall Satisfaction with OpenCart

I recommend OpenCart to my clients looking for a simple shopping cart system. It's only being used by small businesses. It has very limited functions compared to Magento.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Simple to implement/design
  • All in one system

Cons

  • Easier to develop through FTP
  • More features out of the box
  • Be able to customize a lot easier
  • Good for branding
  • Make sales online when you otherwise can't
  • Employee efficiency
  • Magento is more complex but has more functions/customizing ability.
  • OpenCart is more simple, great for small businesses.
Its well suited for small businesses with only a few people managing the website. In corporations, I see it having limitations.
