Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Dyn Managed DNS

It is used by our customers for failover URLs when the primary IP address within fails a health check.
  • We migrated this customer away from a competitor's product knowing the features and available configurations would be more feature-rich.
  • We have not had any of the issues we saw with GSS.
  • Deploying and managing Dyn Traffic Director configurations is intuitive and easy.
  • Dyn Traffic Director configurations allow us to put in place all our needed customer options.
  • When selecting zones to associate to a Traffic Director configuration, it can take a long period of time for them to load.
  • Slow loading interface at times.
  • Slow searches at times.
  • This product has had a positive impact on our customer's DNS environment.
  • The migration away from GSS, and to Dyn, turned out to be the best choice in the end.
Dyn seemed to have the most option-rich features and easy to use interface.
We have had excellent support from Dyn representatives, such as Ryan Warrick, for assisting us with issues as well as with complex configurations and even API instruction.
The product is easy to use, highly configurable and meets all of our customer's needs. That is something that is not seen commonly with DNS products.
It is best used to load-balance DNS configurations based on health checks.
