Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Dyn Managed DNS

We use dyn DNS as our primary external DNS hosted service.
  • Fault tolerance of DNS records
  • Fault tolerance of DNS names. We can fail over our services to another server almost instantly.
  • I would like to share the DNS namespace with our internal DNS servers. This is a difficult configuration to maintain.
Open DNS and cloud DNS were tested and the features available with Dyn were far superior to these other products for our organization.
I have had positive experiences with Dyn support and have had my issues resolved in a short timeframe (usually less than a day for even low priority tickets). While not always able to help with my requests, the answer always comes quickly and thoroughly.
The interface is easy to use. I manage multiple DNS zones and getting into the zone for editing is easy. There are some situations where you have to toggle between the expert editor and the standard editor. Depending on what you are doing, it can be confusing which editor to use, but it is always available there.
External DNS zones are particularly suited for this product and the failover features and uptime are great.
