Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Linux

Currently it's used by one single team only, but because of the centos issue now we are planing to migrate all of our centos servers to Oracle Linux as it's free and updates and security patches are also free.
  • Free oracle yum repo, free security errata
  • Oracle Linux manager - Spacewalk
  • Oracle's commitment to provide updates till 2028 for Oracle Linux 8
  • It's good but I would suggest an easy [way] to patch and rollback if needed
  • We are already trained to use RHEL and Centos; so migrating to Oracle Linux won't need extra training or resources
  • Centos
  • Ubuntu
  • Debian
We have evaluated all the above after the centos news came, and we found that Oracle Linux is providing similar features and a commitment to support [similar to] centos.
Everything is superior
