Overall Satisfaction with Perplexity

I used a personal Perplexity account to complete complex coding tasks last year as part of my role in a learning team. These tasks were not common tasks for a learning design team leader, and included Power BI, Power Automate and other technical programming languages such as DAX. It was a great tool for finding answers across sites, and complex requests.

It's great, but doesn't necessarily feel like it adds enough value over using CoPilot, ChatGPT, or whichever generative AI tool your business already uses. Time will tell if this model continues to be developed, and whether it remains competitive with the other big models out in the industry, and innovating features and integrating more use cases fast.
Perplexity offers a unique approach to generative ai tools, which is built more around a search engine, over a chat style tool. While this is novel, and some times more useful than the chat type of tool, i didn't feel it added enough value or increased power over the standard models which are innovating faster.

When you need a tool that is great at searching the web, and providing answers across lots of different sources, this is the best tool currently out there. It feels less like ChatGPT, and more like a modern AI version of Google's search engine, providing different results based on what you search/prompt.
