Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I had my own photography company (still do occasionally) for quite some time and Photobucket was a simple way that I could take all of my photos and upload them in one place and then allow my clients to view them and download them from there. I could control what access they had and it kept things organized and transparent for them. It was pretty simple and straightforward.

Houses very large photos that I don't have the capacity to store on my computer
Allows for a great online backup just in case something happens with my computer or external hard drive
Allows me to quickly and easily share photos with clients after their photoshoot is done
Organizes photos into a streamlined setup

Cons

It's honestly pretty straight forward for what I use it for. No complaints here.

Most Important Features

Storage Storage Storage. I have so many photos and the files are HUGE. I like having the peace of mind of knowing that even if my computer or hard drives break down the photos are somewhere else. In some cases, I'm capturing huge events for people and the thought of losing them due to a technical glitch is heartbreaking. This prevents that.
Ability to share with clients. It makes it simple for them to view their photos at any time without taking up a bunch of space on THEIR devices. After all... many people don't print photos out anymore.
It is a relatively inexpensive business expense in the grand scheme of things. It's worth the price for the peace of mind.

Return on Investment

The peace of mind is priceless. Time is money and I spend a lot of time stressing over accidentally losing files. This helps.
I no longer have to use multiple services to send files to clients. It's more specifically designed for photos rather than documents of all types
I want the positive experience for clients to continue from beginning to end and I like that this system is simple for them to use as well.

I can see this being useful for a lot of different scenarios. A professional photographer could use it to store and share photos with clients. They could also use it to share their work on social media if they do photography for the sale of prints. An individual could use it to store all of the family photos that they don't have room for on their phone or computer so they don't have to delete any to save space. They could share it with family and friends via Photobucket or via social media. It isn't a feature I use but you can even turn photos into gifts for friends and family. It is a paid service so I'd say if the extra storage isn't needed or you don't have a lot of photos to store it may not be for you, but anyone else could benefit from at least 1 or 2 of the offerings.
