Overall Satisfaction with Podio

We tried Podio for a few weeks among fou of us at the agency. As an organization with remote workers, we were looking for a central web home for operations. We wanted a place for storing documents, quick chats, account updates, personal news, meeting notes, all of the daily water cooler type of stuff.

Pros

  • Easy to use.
  • Pricing reasonable - free for us.
  • Easy access.

Cons

  • Adding 'one more thing' to check proved the downfall.
  • Interface with google docs wasn't smooth.
  • Does as promised - online home for remote organization.
  • Didn't take training or give this product a fair chance. The pain at our organization wasn't that great.
We now use Slack which is similar in functionality. We still don't use it much.
If the organization wasn't on Google docs, I would recommend Podio. Key questions? How do you manage your organization's daily interaction now? Obviously good for remote teams where you have multiple locations, timezones. etc. Also will be more valuable to larger organizations. For us, it was just as easy to do without.
