Overall Satisfaction with Proofpoint Targeted Attack Protection for Email
We use it for our entire organization. Primary requirements to prevent advanced malware and phishing attacks. In addition, we also use it for data loss prevention (DLP) to meet client and regulatory requirements. We also leverage this platform for e-mail protection against spam and phishing attacks.
Pros
- Alert on malware/attacks that made it through, so we can respond.
- Data loss prevention (DLP) is very flexible and accommodates our needs.
Cons
- More advancement in the imposter technology.
- Integration between Wombat (phishing campaign tool) and email.
- Central email relay for all corporate and client traffic, decreases need for additional email platform.
- Decrease in security incidents due to effective attack protection.
Feature-wise identical. Mimecast was very affordable compared to Proofpoint. We were able to get annual costs with Proofpoint down to a more acceptable level. Also, the migration costs for us (due to deep customization) was more effort for little return (after PP price was lowered).
