Overall Satisfaction with Quest QoreStor
QoreStor connects to our Backup system and serves as a repository for it. Backup job data is sent to QoreStor and it processes Deduplication and compression, then sending the backup jobs to cloud replication. The use of this system compared to conventional backup methods saves about 75% of the overall storage size in the cloud. This reduces our cost of cloud storage and the load on data throughput.

When I evaluated the Dell system it was an entirely new server on-site, with licensed levels of inlocking the storage it had on board. For a smaller organization, the Dell system was not cost-effective with a large upfront payment, and additional hardware to manage on-site. The QoreStor system was a virtual machine that could pop into my current system and just use allocated storage already in place. In addition, the upfront cost was dramatically less than the Dell option and no additional hardware.

I purchased the standard level of support that is typical with the appliance. It works for me and I get results when I need them. I have had several interactions with the support team. Even the managers actually care what the customer thinks and get involved to make sure I am taken care of.
One time I have a total failure of a system. Since I was new to the system I contacted support to guide me through the recovery. They responded immediately and walked me through the whole process. I had that system up and running in just a few short hours. The users never lost a single bit of data.
