Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

We use it in a Standard Implementation. We use it for stability and security.

Pros

  • CIS standards template for initial install
  • Upgrades / Updates
  • Documentation is superb.
  • It is a great product. Being able to update or upgrade quickly is essential as we are needing to do it more frequently by policy.
It is a great standard Linux installation. Very user friendly.
I feel that Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is more user friendly than SLES. There are slight differences and I think Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) has the edge over SLES.
