Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

We use RHEL as our primary OS in the datacenter. It’s stable, secure, and reliable for running critical apps. It helps us stay compliant, automate tasks with Ansible, and maintain consistency across all environments. It’s the solid foundation we need to run smoothly and scale confidently.

Pros

  • Stability
  • Security
  • Consistency

Cons

  • Desktop environments.
  • Subscription and licensing process.
  • Enhanced security and compliance.
  • Automation with Ansible.
  • Reduced downtime and improved infrastructure stability.
It’s highly stable, well-documented, and integrates seamlessly with enterprise tools.
We chose RHEL over other Linux distributions because of its enterprise support, stability, and security features. Compared to alternatives like Ubuntu or CentOS, RHEL offers more extended lifecycle support.
