Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat OpenShift

Container orchestration and management for our multi cloud systems across the company.

Pros

  • Helps organize cloud workloads
  • Makes it easy to spin up apps on demand
  • Give Enterprise level of visibility and control of our cloud workloads

Cons

  • Takes a lot of resources to use
  • The smaller demo environment doesn't really work the same as the real one
  • Difficult to get internal people access for test and building or demos
  • Red Hat OpenShift adds Enterprise level of support to k8s
  • Red Hat OpenShift is a beast to spin up
  • It is hard to get lightweight environments for dev teams or demos that work like the real thing
