Sage 50 is used by our entire church to take care of all the needs of the church. This includes entering all expenses and income, and also to produce payroll. This allows us to have a system in place to monitor our income and expenses and be able to report to the CRA and also to our church members how we are doing as a church financially.
- Easy way to enter the income from church giving.
- Very easy to manage and maintain all the expenses for the church and pay them and report on them.
- Their good Payroll system makes it easy to pay employees.
- It would be nice to be able to add departments and accounts without closing all the open windows. It's not a big deal, but sometimes when you are doing things it would be nice to keep a screen up.
- Sage 50 has led to Positive ROI for us, as it has allowed us to manage the finances of the church and to keep everything in check.
- Being able to reconcile our bank accounts has really gone a long way towards keeping our confidence up.
Sage 50 has a more professional operation to it, and transactions have to be reversed rather than just erased in QuickBooks. This leads to more confidence in the system when you are using it. I believe that you can do something like this in QuickBooks, but I have had trouble implementing this.
