Sage Accounting

Overall Satisfaction with Sage Accounting

It makes invoicing so much easier than other software we have used. I can make edits to estimates and changes to the scope of work easily. I can record payments seamlessly. I really enjoy seeing all the sales invoices lined up in order with the clients name and information listed.

Pros

  • Visual. It’s easy to read and find what I need.
  • I really like that I can see when a client has viewed the estimate and invoice. No more guessing if it got lost.
  • I like how easy it is to record payments.

Cons

  • Making it iPhone user friendly
  • It has freed up more time for the owner as staff can now record payments, make adjustments without him being needed.
It’s much more user friendly than other software we have used. I wish it offered more support though, more videos for on-boarding. I felt like I was left to figure it out for myself. Having a real person to talk to for help would be excellent. Maybe in the future you can add this.
We have used quick books and I found it impossible to use. Making changes was very difficult and after a period of time you can’t make changes as you’d be locked out. So then you’d have to make an entirely new quote / invoice. By the end of the year we’d have multiple quotes for the same project which made it difficult figuring out which quote was the correct one.

I wish it was more phone friendly. Sometimes we need to make changes on the fly and I’m not at my desk on my laptop. Being in construction we often aren’t at a desk until the end of day.
It’s great to use if you do work from home or in an office.
