Overall Satisfaction with Sage Accounting

I am the bookkeeper for a union whose responsibilities include financial statements. I am able to record accounts receivables, payables and journal entries along with payroll.

Pros

  • Copy previous entries.
  • Modify existing entries.
  • Generate profit and loss statements and balance sheet

Cons

  • Ability to own Sage rather than a monthly subscription.
  • Ability to set up custom reporting format profit and loss statement.
  • Ability to set up custom reporting format for balance sheet.
  • Credit cards used for expenses have to be journalized.
Excellent audit trail. Reports are easily generated.
