Overall Satisfaction with Sage X3

It's the ERP where every process is managed. We are a manufacturing company and we use Sage X3 to control our production.

We've also very tight controls on the purchase process, namely for approvals and X3 workflows allows us to do just that. One aspect that is very important for our company is the possibility to manage the way costs are managed at the purchase level, and 3 way match fits perfectly into that.

The interface could be a little bit more friendlier and intuitive. Normally end users complain about the ergonomics of the system, even though my experience tells me that is a situation that dilutes itself pretty fast.

Another aspect that I think Sage could improve, is the way reports and queries are managed, it seems that at least at some level, there could be a easy drag and drop way (or just by picking fields) to create simple queries/reports. Having to rely on some data base knowledge is not very user friendly.

But overall the system is very powerful and a good tool for companies that want to have control over their operations.

If you have a mid-size company, that needs to have controlled processes (purchases, sales, production) Sage X3 is a very good system to help you manage your business.

If you have approval flows, whether on sales or purchases, X3 is a very good tool for your company.

Also, related to stock management, this system provides a great level of control and traceability.

Even though all these positive aspects would say that reporting could be a little bit better and more comprehensive.
