Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

SAP Analytics Cloud is an impressive self-service business intelligence (BI) tool. The tool is not expensive and can be used by mid-size companies too. This tool works well for data scientist as it speaks in the data science language. It creates a story for the business user to understand a big amount of data in a simpler manner compared to other tools such as Tableau. Our company used this tool to understand clinical trials related data. We have a lot of data points coming from multiple sources so this tool allows us to understand key trends and identify key indicators quickly.

Pros

  • Data visualization functionality
  • Understands the language of data science
  • Capability of creating a story with a large amount of data

Cons

  • Not intuitive for beginners: user interface is for a technical person and can be hard to decipher for a non-technical individual
  • Mobility, I believe they only have an app for the iOS system
  • It has allowed us to look at data in a more robust way and provides insights to the upper management for them to make sound decisions
  • The cost is minimal compared to ROI
SAP Analytics Cloud works well for big data management. Compared to other applications in the market this is by far the best. It can transform a big amount of data into a meaning full story. It also reveals hidden trends early on which may not be quite apparent when just looking at the raw data.
