Overall Satisfaction with SAP Ariba

We are now using SAP Ariba for all supplier onboarding and integrating the Buying/Guided Buying systems for an easier user experience to find what they need. We also use the SAP ECC and Concur systems within our organization. It has made visibility into the vendor onboarding process better but we still have gaps in the delays it is taking to onboard a vendor.

  • Better integration with suppliers to "own their vendor data"
  • Onboarding cycle time is taking too long
  • Haven't been able to move towards Buying ROI due to issues within SLP
  • Supplier risk module is helpful but hard to get adoption across the team
Some areas, SAP does really well but there still seem like areas that are industry norms are not integrated into the SAP processes, making it appear we need to have customizations that should be native to the program.

The process to go from our existing SRM platform to Ariba was a little less than desirable and was not as seamless of a process as we imagined it would be. This caused delays in our implementation while we had to navigate issues on SAP's end to meet critical deadlines with our implementation partner.
