Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SAP BTP for multiple purposes: 1. All of our integration needs to non-SAP systems, including exposing SAP endpoints and also building event-push webhooks by using Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), 2. Using MBC component to receive MT950 SWIFT bank statements from The Bank of England and 3. Backbone for SAP Fiori tiles (we use close to 50 Fiori tiles, which feed from BTP Odata services)

Scope of the use case is to use SAP S/4HANA Cloud (with SAP C4B for transactional banking) as the back-end to the wholesale digital bank

Pros and Cons

Integration for SAP and non-SAP APIs/endpoints

Security (securing APIs via OAuth 2.0 and other protocols, such as HMAC)

More less code / no code (it's overwhelming to end users)
clearer workflow and process orchestration capabilities (again with less coding / more intuitive visualization)
handling EDA-based integration (more intuitive SAP Event / Advanced Event Mesh) capabilities

Usability

We have built multiple event-based messages/notifications critical to our business - example tracking a status of a payment E2E, notification when a bank statement is executed or when an account lock is removed
