We use SAP Business Technology Platform for our customized application in SCM. We have a lot of challenges defining the product costing. Pricing application on SAP Business Technology Platform helps us resolve this. This custom application helps us to capture the market index for resin price and accommodate in our product costing. This application is also used for our sales pricing.
Pros
- BAS is a perfect platform to design and develop your custom application
- Integration suite helps you to connect with Excel data generated as a part of dimensional data recording in QM management
- Build code helps functional consultants to build their own app
Cons
- Licensing can be done with a more simple format for the usage through cloud credit
- SAP Business Technology Platform should have more prebuilt application based on customer experience
- User management across all SAP Business Technology Platform application is cumbersome, would like to have single sign on
- Takes long time for ROI
- It's not a straightforward solution to implement
- Need more simpler ways of using SAP Business Technology Platform, more like plug and play
