Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integration Suite

SAP Integration Suite is used across our organization. It is used for procurement and our enterprise integration.

Pros

  • We can quickly set up technologies.
  • Support from SAP has been good.
  • Communication on updates and features have been good.

Cons

  • Error handling capabilities are not built into many of the tools (e.g., CPI, APIM, CIG).
  • Some services have been difficult to try since we are using a subscription-based charge model.
  • Scales up well.
  • Quick configuration and deployment.
  • Planned and unplanned outages on SAP schedule, not on our business schedule.
  • Not all tools are designed with alert notification capabilities.
We have benefited from the CPI extended integration capabilities such as ease of use, multiple message formatting types, and message mediation.
SAP Integration Suite is well suited for quick configuration. It is less suited for situations where planned/unplanned outages are unacceptable.
