Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integration Suite
It is being used across the whole organization and hosts both end-user and internal applications.
Pros
- Connectivity to SAP on-prem systems.
- The cloud foundry environment truly provides an open environment for language-agnostic development.
- Open integrations with third-party systems.
Cons
- Very basic monitoring solutions in CF - logging and app monitoring.
- Difference in features in the same offering on different hyperscalers.
- Documentation could be improved.
- Optimization of processes by building extensions on cloud has resulted in significant savings.
- Helped support our enterprise push towards Agile development and reduced downtimes.
We have exclusively used the SAP Cloud Connector (CC) for on-premise integration. Cloud Connector has been very effective for our use cases and has really eased the process of exposing our internal services to the cloud.
- Azure API Management, Azure App Service, Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) and Azure Active Directory
SAP Integration Suite holds its own when it comes to integrating with SAP on-prem systems. But, the devops and comprehensive monitoring and configuration capabilities of the Azure API and devops services are much more well rounded offerings.
