Overall Satisfaction with SAP Cloud Platform

We used SAP Cloud Platform to manage our cloud infrastructure for one of our bigger projects. Its connectivity to AWS allowed us seamless integration and management. Logs and metrics helped to track budget and made sure we were using the resources we needed. Deploying services, connectivity to SAP HANA were seamless.

Yes - the data integration part especially. You can link it to your existing databases and leverage more SAP products at once. Similarly, you can use many services on top of your Cloud Platform, allowing to you leverage some up to date and emerging technology. For example with Natural Language Processor.
We have not used SAP Cloud Platform in this manner especially, but the analytics insight gave us great overview of the cloud management and health.
Whilst Heroku will interact nicely with Salesforce, from my experience, SAP's integration is better for enterprises. The connection of several data sources is really the main advantage with the addition of the platform working on top of your existing SAP landscape. User access management is also very easy for the organisation.
From my experience, SAP Cloud Platform becomes handy when building new products or application on top of an existing cloud landscape. By the integration with other products and databases, it becomes the best to go for. Use it with many cloud providers or link it to your on premise solution.
