Overall Satisfaction with SAP Datasphere

We use SAP Datasphere to consolidate SAP and non-SAP data into one repository. Once combined, we can do ETL to create custom data attributes that can feed visualization tools.

Pros

  • Analytical Models - allowing no code operations
  • Ability to trace the lineage and be able to see how the data is joined and filtered
  • Provide dependencies to see where one table feeds others

Cons

  • Ability to export data using SQL code and not requiring the build of Analytic models
  • Ability to use 'stored procedures' for automation of data chains
  • Ability to create scheduled extracts to email recipients
Need to improve API consolidation to allow more data in with fewer connections
