Overall Satisfaction with SAP Extended Warehouse Management

We are using Embedded Warehouse management for our Inbound Processing, this streamlined and brought in discipline in the inventory management.
Physical Inventory was seamless which we carried out after the SAP Extended Warehouse Management implementation. Ease of operating by RF devices and tracking the stock movement accurately, any discrepency is noticed and actioned upon this helps to have the inventory tracked more accurately.

Cons

  • Batch management must be more flexible
  • Queues which gets stuck, there must be much more details to fix it
  • KBA must be published and available to support customer fix the issues by themselves
  • Once the IBD gets distributed to SAP Extended Warehouse Management we will not be able to edit anything in S4H this makes it complex to handle it, it must be flexible
  • As it is newly implemented, ROI will be long time benefit
  • It has positive impact with handling the stocks
  • Handling unit for each of the stock make easier to track
SAP Extended Warehouse Management has good features and control on the Inventory and batch managed materials
We were using non-sap product for managing the SAP Extended Warehouse Management which was not that great and flexible.
In S4H 2023 version, SAP Extended Warehouse Management comes up with the features which was suitable for our business hence we implemented SAP Extended Warehouse Management. This was seamless integration has is embedded in HANA, we dont have to setup another instance and use the features of SAP Extended Warehouse Management

Well suited - Managing the inventory and tracking of stocks is robust scenarios where it is less appropriate - Flexibility in RF screen must be improved and to fix the issues in queues when it is stuck
