Overall Satisfaction with SAP Fieldglass

SAP Fieldglass is implemented across the whole organisation to procure,
manage and optimize our external workforce more efficiently but also help with
innovative solutions by harnessing the power of data and digital while
contributing towards our digital aspiration at Novartis. It enables us to streamline
and simplify the end-to-end process from initiation of a statement of work through to contract signature, service delivery, and invoicing. SAP Fieldglass is used for the contingent workforce as well as for services.
  • Contingent labor process, starting from the job posting to final candidate onboarding
  • Supplier and Customer collaboration options in the system
  • Configuration options for customers
  • Management of service delivery and service contract setups
  • Option to establish a true end-to-end process (from source2contract to final payment)
  • Usability to be improved (to allow more end users to act directly in the system)
  • Rate card management / Fx rate management
  • Documentation of the functionality (There is so much functionality available in the system, it would be great to receive more instructions how to configure).
  • AI usage to ensure more intuitive entries, based on past usage and other users' experience/work
  • Workflow management including full audit trail of all performed actions
  • Integration options with the P2P systems, esignature system integrations (e.g. DocuSign incl. Qes option)
  • Collaboration options with suppliers
  • Contract storage and easy/fast retrieval
  • Transparency of the status for internal and external
  • Delivery management (time sheets, milestones, fees)
  • FG enabled to report much higher savings in the contingent labor area due to full transparency of rates and flexibility to include multiple agencies
  • Process efficiencies in the service area as well as rate transparency
  • Supported during the covid-19 pandemic to identify onsite vs. offsite resources

Overall Fieldglass can be used in the areas where an external workforce is involved, whether these are contingent labor resources or services. For material/goods related contracts (software, etc.) the system is in our opinion not suitable.
