Overall Satisfaction with SAP HANA

HANA is being used by one department in our organization. We are using it as the central hub to consolidate data from different sources. Also utilizing the analytics capabilities of HANA to predict customer intent, sentiment and satisfaction level from all the interaction data collected from different sources.
  • Performance in retrieving the data.
  • Data security features like column encryption, data anonymization.
  • HA functionalities.
  • HANA SDI process to replicate data from different kinds of sources is patchy at best.
  • Performance in HANA comes with cost and analytics tends to consume lots of data for analysis. It's better to watch the amount of data getting into HANA.
  • SDS and SDI components had issues out of the box and we had to work through fixes.
Our organization is utilizing HANA analytics capability to derive customer intent based on transnational and real-time data. We needed to determine the customer intent in real-time to answer customers who called customer service.
We didn't use any of the special data types.
We are in the middle of implementing HANA and probably will have a better answer after watching HANA in production for 6 months.
