Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It's our primary ERP system. So we use it for everything, AR, AP, employee management, and accounting close. It does everything on the back office side for us.

Pros and Cons

Pros

I think it's become very easy for the user to navigate. I believe it does a very good job of integrating with some of our external systems in order to enable things like management reporting and better T&E visibility. Just overall, it's got a relatively slick interface that helps our users get their jobs done.

Cons

If anything, I'd say there are times when the older version of SAP HANA Cloud kind of rears its head for our users when they're not expecting it. So that can cause a little confusion because they're not used to the interface.
There's always room for improvement in any cloud product.
I would say that there are times when our users struggle to find how data links between the different areas of the product, between AR or cash management applications, and whatnot. So, just making those connections a little more visible so that our users don't get lost when trying to navigate the system for their data.

Return on Investment

I think the first thing is just better data visibility. I think one of the big problems was that we were coming off an old ERP system, and it was time for something modern and more agile. And this just gives our management better visibility into our data.
It's also more nimble and less maintenance too. So it's not something that my organization has to worry about as much as we used to, making sure that there was no downtime, making sure that it's meeting the needs of our users.

There are times when the underpinnings of the product, especially the older product, make their way to the user, which can be confusing. So the more they tighten up those areas, I think the better overall usability will be for our users.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think if you have a large organization, it's probably the product and the marketplace to go to. We're a large management consulting firm operating in four to seven countries. And generally speaking, I think that's the size and the scope where it scales best. I can't speak to smaller companies, but I can't see smaller companies leveraging the benefits as much as a larger organization can.
