Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integrated Business Planning

Since implementing SAP Integrated Business Planning, the planning procedures have been enhanced through having a centralized source of the supply chain data. The efficiency of multiple data inputs coupled with the creation of intricate planning situations has enhanced our selection process. As for the application, while the initial experience exposed certain difficulties linked to its deployment, it offers substantial benefits based on better forecast accuracy and lowered inventory costs.

  • Although the software offers many options for customization, the standard reports are in fact heavily limited.

8/10 The complexities are easily overcome, especially when the system is effectively implemented and trained for usage, speaking of which the advantages are far more overwhelming than the disadvantages associated with the adoption of the system.

The platform has therefore made it easier for us to see areas of slow operation and embarrassment that were not easily seen before.
While Oracle was most effective in the demand planning aspect, it was clearly seen that SAP Integrated Business Planning offers an enhanced overall solution. Oracle had fairly good inventory optimization features; SAP Integrated Business Planning was comprehensive in its approach, and it provided solutions to our organization's requirements.

One area the software performs quite well is the demand forecasting, especially for the retail division, which helped in predicting some fluctuations that are seasonal and subsequently making adjustments in holding stocks. Some recorded difficulties were observed during the implementation in our division, as this division had more restrictions due to compliance with certain industry rules.
