Utilizing SAP Integration Suite for bi-directional integrations between S/4 and other core platforms to run the business. Seamless ability to extract and transform data between multiple systems. Provides our technical support and business users visibility into key metrics and monitoring of operational processes and workflows to be more effective.
Pros
- API management of backend S4 services and data
- Easy adoption and maintenance of integration flows
- Support for event driven architecture and implementation
Cons
- Versioning is cumbersome and the integration and management of transports needs to mature
- Resubmission and replay abilities exposed outside of the platform
- Native JSON support
- Speed to market
- Ability to execute on transformation goals
- Extending the core S4 capabilities to other parts of the org
We have used it as a bridge to connect S/4 to other integration platform to aid in interim state during transition to s/4
We have not leveraged this yet.
- Boomi and Azure Functions
They all have a place and a use case. SAP Integration Suite makes it very easy to extend s4 and seamlessly integrate to other systems.
