Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using SAP Integration Suite to create Rest APIs which our customers are going to use. In our backend system we are implementing OData-Services as basis for our Rest APIs.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Easy to test Rest APIs
Easy to build APIs
We able to send results of an API via email with an attached file

Cons

The monitoring of APIs is not really usable

We created a lot of APIs for our customers

My experience showed that almost every scenario with Rest APIs is possible except of handling large data submissions. If we have to submit lets say data amounts of over 100 MB from our backend system via Rest API it is not possible with the SAP Integration Suite.
