Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

We are mainly using SAP S/4HANA Cloud for all of our inventory management purposes. We place reservations to get materials from the warehouse, check our inventory, do cycle counts and material reconciliation, and also move final products to the warehouse via handling units. We also create our process orders in SAP S/4HANA Cloud and set our materials for our records.

Pros

  • Being able to view stock overview and see if materials are blocked.
  • Being able to confirm expiration dates.
  • Creating reservation requests to supply chain.

Cons

  • Just the overall layout and ease of use.
  • Displaying an easy/full list of codes.
  • Scrapping materials and viewing material transfer documents.
  • Gives us traceability on where materials are used.
  • Visibility of inventory.
  • Works with other digital systems.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud is definitely a useful program it just sometimes isn’t the most user-friendly. There are so many codes and not really a good guide to help navigate it and it is used differently everywhere.
I have used ERP in the past and from what I remember I do think SAP S/4HANA Cloud has more functions.

Yes

I think SAP S/4HANA Cloud can be a good program for inventory management in the biotech world and I have used it at almost all of them. I just feel like it could be a little more streamlined and user-friendly. Or potentially just if we had more training and super users on SAP or a manual for ease of use for our inventory management needs.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Support

I have never needed to receive technical support from SAP, instead generally defaulting to one of our super users on-site for help.
