Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

I’m a Product Owner in the MM and SD modules. Managing Business needs from the ordering to the Invoicing. As the tool is used in a micro services architecture, SAP S/4HANA Cloud is used in the financial department only, this means managing internal requirements totally covered by the cloud solution, but also, an important part composed by data interfacing (APIs). My work consist in adapting core model on country specific related data, delivering new functionalities and controls to the current scope and ensure the complete and stable communication with different inbound and outbound APIs management rules.

  • Reactivity on taking new functionalities into account. As the tool lacks functionalities if compared to older SAP versions

  • Business Partners mandatory fields customizing

  • Fit to standard approach
The tool has everything we need to do our most important daily basis tasks, some of them on a fluid way, as information is ready to be used in specific tiles, with pre stablished filters and columns contents. Sometimes not 100% suitable to the Business specificities, but doable with some extractions and reintegrations in complementary tiles. It would be interesting to have more flexibility in the tiles customization, as the processes remain FIT to standard. To increase end to end user experience

I didn’t participate in the tools selection, but started working with it at the beginning of the implementation phase. The reason of choice was related to the tool capabilities but also a wish of the company to go Cloud.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is great for the “official” and “legal” requirements. Every configuration, every customization. Everything is pretty well designed and organized. Which is extremely important to the tools goal. The whole environment is created to help us find solution for the problem when required. For the scenarios where it is maybe less appropriated, is in the “innovative side”, as the new requirements seems usually really hard to be taken into account, or they are maybe too specific ? not all of them I believe. The reactivity is not really positive on the solutions development, and more an open message asking for us to expose our idea in a “cloud of ideas”, and the best ones, one day maybe, will be taken into account. Overall, I really approve the tool
