Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

I've used SAP S/4HANA Cloud for recording accounts payable and receivables of transactions done through cash or POS machines. SAP S/4HANA Cloud helped us to determine the financial position of the company and making sure that our funds are matching with our bank balance. I may also use it for finding insights for better decision making.

Pros

  • It reconciles the transactions very well and fast.
  • It has shortcuts to go to specific functions like jumping to cash transactions it has specific keyword.
  • It also produces reports available in various formats, although I prefer to use Excel only.

Cons

  • I would like to have an offline functionality as well which is not available at the moment.
  • I would like to see in-built templates that can be used according to organization needs and have to be industry specific.
  • Navigation of this platform is quite difficult to learn and requires training. So, new users will find learning a steep curve.
  • Well, it's been helping me keep track of the cash and now I am confident every day that I am never short on cash because of SAP S/4HANA Cloud's system.
  • The real-time cash flow forecasting in SAP S/4HANA Cloud is quite helpful in predicting future flow by integrating it with accounts payables and receivables.
I'm giving it this rating because I'm quite comfortable with using SAP S/4HANA Cloud however, I do feel that it is not beginner friendly because of its less intuitive user interface and could be improved if worked on. Overall, I would say it is a great tool which has strong security and integration with other useful tools.

I feel that could solution are way better that on premises tools because this way it wouldn't crash because of the system or even if the system gets destroyed somehow. The data remains safe because it is sitting in some data warehouse where it can retrieve and used again. However, one doesn't have internet connection or might be in less coverage area might cause delays.
SAP has a bigger ecosystem, and because of it, I would better go for SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Moreover, SAP has its own BI tool SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence which can be used to data visualization, and reporting which can be integrated with SAP S/4HANA Cloud smoothly.

Well, I think it is well suited where the operation of business is in multiple locations and it's difficult to manage because there could be thousands of transactions happening every hour and reconciliation and cash flow management would become difficult so there SAP S/4HANA Cloud's automated bank reconciliation will ease the task and save the time as well.
