Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

When we intended to apply SAP S/4HANA Cloud, our main goal is to modernize and unify our ERP landscape across regions. we use this in our company for real-time/quick financial planning/managing and reporting. Adding general ledger, accounts payable/receive, data management, and financial bringing to all integrated into a single source of truth.

Pros

  • In my company, we previously used to depend on multiple Excel sheets and third-party tools to bring financial data within business units. With this platform, we get real-time P&L, balance sheet, and reports by business units.
  • Automation in Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • because of real-time analytics and integrated supplier data ,we recognized redundant vendors and consolidated procurement contracts. which brought to a 10% reduction in indirect procurement costs in just 8 months. The feature mobile approvals alone days off of procurement cycle times.

Cons

  • Limited Flexibility for user Customization
  • In our company needed support for make-to-order with different configuration and ATP checks. Those features are either missing or overly simplified in the public cloud , forcing us to consider either a private cloud model or external bolt-on solutions.
  • We tried to incorporate our legacy CRM system with SAP S/4HANA Cloud’s sales module. Being APIs being available, the lack of prebuilt connectors meant we had to build and test custom middleware logic.

Before SAP S/4HANA Cloud, our financial reporting process took 7–10 days after month-end to consolidate reports across regions. With real-time reporting and embedded analytics, we now generate accurate consolidated financials within 2–3 days, giving leadership timely insight to make strategic decisions faster.
