Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

SAP S/4HANA is one of the best ERP software programs I have come across. It helped our team a lot. In our organization, SAL S/4 HANA Cloud plays a significant role in financial management. It records day-to-day transactions and prepares financial statements. It helps in getting instant financial data for quicker decision-making. It solved a substantial issue of delayed financial closings. Automation has significantly helped reduce closing times. Automation is also decreasing errors. Previously, we relied on manual Excel sheets for budget tracking and analysis, which resulted in significant time delays, errors, and inconsistent data. However, SAP addressed these issues with its Real-Time reporting, automation, and structured workflows.

Pros

  • Previously, we struggled with financial closing, which used to take almost a week or 10 days and required more manual effort. However, with SAP S/4HANA Automated journal postings and embedded validations, we can close within 1-2 days.
  • SAP S/4HANA made financial reporting easy. We can generate accurate balance sheets and financial statements. Before, we used to do things with Excel sheets, which required a lot of manual work and inconsistent data. However, SAP S/4HANA is a savior; it reduces manual work and improves data consistency.
  • SAP S/4 HANA made audit preparation easier. Previously, audits were prepared using manual formulas, which involved compiling data from Excel sheets and other systems, a process that took a significant amount of time and effort. With SAP S/4HANA, everything is automated and system-driven, making things easier.

Cons

  • The pricing is prohibitive. This cost is worth the system SAP delivers, but this would be difficult for mid-sized organizations.
  • The UI is a bit clumsy; although this UI looks good, it would be difficult for new users to understand. I feel they could make UI Simpler, so that freshers can also understand easily.
  • When there is any upgrade it causes many disruptions with current process sometimes.
  • The efficiency gain was too high, reduced 40-50 % of processing time.
  • We automated invoice approvals and integrated directly with vendors, reducing processing time from 8 to 4 days.
  • It saved audit preparation time, Over 50% faster than before. This reduced our costs.
  • Our business grow higher, Over 16 months, we scaled finance operations by 40% more transactions
The platform features a beautiful and consistent UI, and navigation among finance modules is significantly easier for business users. Real-time analytics, workflows, and guided processes enhance daily tasks such as approvals and journal posting. It reduces time and helps in maintaining consistency. But for new users, the terminology and UI would be complex and confusing.

Integration was our top priority; we needed to integrate with both SAP and non-SAP systems. SAP S/4HANA Cloud provides integration that allows us to merge data, streamline workflows, and eliminate. This brought data accuracy and improved reporting speed. The cloud-native model also supports multi-entity operations, allowing us to expand operations without increasing IT infrastructure costs.
The AI capabilities of SAP S/4HANA facilitate the automation of repetitive finance tasks. This has reduced manual review time in accounts payable and also improved accuracy in month-end reconciliations. Predictive analysis is one of its best features, in which the system uses historical data to recommend optimal payments and forecast cash flows.
Oracle Cloud ePm helps in financial planning and analysis, Faster closing, and accurate reporting. It provides comprehensive financial management. It also helps with strategic planning and economic insight. Workday Financial Management has helped us manage our financial operations effectively. It offers the best Financial planning and analysis in Budgeting, forecasting, and real-time data.

SAP S/4HANA provides Real-Time financial insights and performs automation for routine tasks. It reduced dependency on spreadsheets, resulting in fewer data losses, errors, and manual tasks. SAP S/4HANA may be less suitable for companies with highly specialized or higher financial requirements that require extensive customization, as the cloud version has certain limitations.
