Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

We have implemented S/4HANA Public Cloud for the areas of finance, procurement, sales, treasury, controlling and partially for the Real Estate Management business. We have successfully transitioned from the legacy ERP to S/4HANA Public Cloud for the non-industry specific business processes, with additional BTP extensibilities and several SCI integrated applications.

Pros

  • Standardized solution with robust knowledgebase.
  • Regular release schedule.
  • Product, that is being actively developed.

Cons

  • Communication of changes, issues and bugs.
  • There are missing functionalities compared to on-premise/private cloud solution.
  • Release and transport management options are limited.
  • We were able to maintain our key business processes while setting up a platform for process standardization across countries during future rollouts.
We have not discovered any no-go criteria. There have been some areas where we feel that the approach to data handling could be more dynamic and flexible (e.g., G/L accounting), but this has been offset by the modern approach in other areas.
  • Cloud Solutions
  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
  • Other
Product readiness in multiple countries.
We have not yet utilized in any way. Analysis pending in 2025.

Adopting the Activate methodology based on our business-specific requirements was key. We have also heavily focused on testing and end-user enablement.
Change management was a big part of the implementation and was well-handled - Start as soon as possible based on the exploration phase findings.
We have used both self-enablement materials and guided training sessions provided by our third-party implementor.
We have established an internal evaluation process, conducted regression testing with key users and stakeholders, and updated the training materials.
In-depth testing, maximizing the use of real data to enhance key users' ability to test business cases with high variability.
