Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors HCM

Employee Central is used as a HR master data management system for Org and Employees. SAP SuccessFactors HCM also is used as an ESS function for employees to update their details.
Workflows are built in for manager approval when triggering payroll related changes. Seamless integration via BIB and PTP to S/4 and ECP

Pros

  • Payroll Processing via PCC
  • Self Serve functions for update Employee Details
  • Time off functionality is really easy to use and far more superior to ERP leave

Cons

  • Option to display leave hours and balances in Decimal format rather than HH:MM format
  • Delete and Add Buttons on the portlets can be better placed. Employees are overwritting existing data i.e bank details
  • No option to use the same wagetype/pay components across ECP infotypes IT0014, IT0015, IT2010
  • Simpler to configure compared to ERP/ECC systems
  • Employees are able to see their full Profile rather than viewing individual Fiori /ESS tiles
  • No need for ABAP developers to build workflows and notifications
The product is easy to use and navigate around. User interface is similar look and feel other apps like banking, super
HR and Payroll is on SAP SuccessFactors HCM but time and attendance is still in ERP using RPTIME00 for valuation
We are exploring on using Joule and MS Teams integration to make applying for leave when we implement Time Off.
We also want to use Joule for payslip analysis

Yes

Great user interface and very easy for the user to navigate around. Time off and Work Schedule management and Public Holiday calendars are great features. SAP standard solution to manage temporary roster changes and Public Holiday swaps
Time tracking seems overly complicated to configure if you have a complex EBA
