We are logistics own asset based FTL company, which needs more efficiency, ,integrated E2E solution, data for decision making, orchestration of order to cash and planning to execution processes.

Cons

Planning and execution area for carriers is not covered fully. It has scenarious covered, but its mainly manual and not suited for high volumes and loads
Intermodal transportation management - absent or inefficient
Trailer swap functionality is like 10 steps process, which is highly manually consuming and is not efficient for company operating >5000 trucks and trailers

Current ROI is 8 years which is too much
Order capture improvement - gained around 12% efficiency
Data quality has increased due to SAP being strict on controls and discipline - meaning we can mane data based decisions way faster.
"revenue leakage" has improved by 20% due to discipline and controls.

As any SAP products is not very much user oriented, but its a transactional system. But for large volume operations, it should be more user friendly and easier and more readable interface. SAP in general needs to improve in that area. What is good, you can have a full e2e process overview and traceability of the order - which is one of the reasons we chose to use the product.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors HCM and SAP Analytics Cloud

It allows to integrate an e2e flow from business process to finance and people management, which in logistic business are the resources for logistic execution. Analytics are obviously allows us to analyze the metrics and make data driven decisions.
