We use the SAP Transportation Management mainly for tasks related to logistics like lane creation, requisites for transportation carriers, movement of inventory from one point another with best mode of transport, also select the vendor according to rates inputted in the system and also the right lane to select. Basically, as used case it reduces the workload and makes the job easier for the user to use it according to task at hand

Pros

It helps to create the transportation carrier's requisites with all detailed required to create the PO for the same
Based on the choice of transportation required like for Transportation of goods from warehouse I want to use vehicle it suggests me out of list which to select based on load size the ideal match
Lane creation, helps me to set up the proper lane for transportation and also according to network mapping for convenience

Cons

Data loading for special codes takes long time to load even with mass load functionality given the size of data
If the process gets interrupted due to net issue you are back to square one and work once again
Integration of this software with other WMS for visibility of stock transfer orders and closure of overall inbound to outbound

The planning of PR to PO reduced from 1-2 days to 1-2 min once the PR is placed
Mass upload functionality reduces the manual work from 3-4 hours to 1 hour
Lane creation from before the SAP used to take 2hours, now with all data available it takes 10-15 mins

Overall rating is 8 as it is easy to use and navigate, creates purchase requisites and order with less complexity, no complex and analytical training required which helps to onboard the person easily on this software, even if have problem you figure it out by your own by simply searching on net or SAP customer support

Complexity is less when compared with OMP, because which it is easier to use and leverage data, with simple codes you easily load the functionality, in OMP to need to know the interface to use it as all function are available on tab only which you need to select for execution
