Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using it to track a few private network devices that aren't being supported by our main IT organization. In the past few years, that usage has declined but we still use it for a few devices to track configuration history and changes.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Fairly easy to set up.
Very customizable.

Cons

Interface could be cleaner.

Return on Investment

We have recovered from outages/bad changes a few times by relying on the historical data.

Alternatives Considered

We haven't used another product like Network Configuration Manager.

SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor, SolarWinds IP Address Manager

Likelihood to Recommend

Managing a small to mid-amount of machines and network devices.
