Splunk AppDynamics in our organization is used as full-stack observability and application performance monitoring (APM) platform that help us monitoring on-prem and cloud applications in real time, user experience infrastructure & end to end business performance. in case our our use case Splunk AppDynamics is used for Hybrid & Multi-Cloud observability. Moreover it is used for monitoring of our business processes like SAP & ERP.

Pros

  • Splunk AppDynamics can diagnose performance issues down to a specific line of code, database query, API and network dependency.
  • It links application performance metrics to business outcomes like revenue, conversions and user experience.
  • Combination of AppDynamics with Splunk makes it a perfect observability suite hence providing organizations unified visibility across micro services, three tier apps and infrastructure.

  • Splunk AppDynamics is expensive with high renewal costs
  • Many users note frequent SaaS environments downtime and slow customer support response time so this thing needs to be improved.
