Overall Satisfaction with Storylane

I basically use Storylane to create product demo tours for the Sales team and the website's product pages. Earlier, we used to have videos for showcasing the features, but they had no interactivity and lacked the actual feel of the product. Storylane helped us to create demo tours which made the users feel like the they are actually using the product.

Pros

  • Showcase the real feel of the SaaS product to the viewers
  • Viewers find it easy to relate to their actual use
  • Easy for creators to build demos
  • Add custom messages

Cons

  • There should be more room for creativity
  • Extension can be improved
  • More options for the progress bar
  • ROI has slightly decreased because it's a paid tool.
  • User engagement has increased
  • Demo request booking has increased.
It is fairly easy to use the Product demo builder. There's nothing complex on the platform. I feel like there's so much room to add complexity to the product, as it's too easy to use at the moment. More functionalities bring more complexity. So, currently, I would say Storylane is pretty easy to use without any prior training.
I felt Storylane was the easiest to learn and the most value for money among the other tools that I evaluated. Some of the tools are 10 times more expensive than Storylane and basically do the same thing. Storylane solved my purpose at a lower cost so I chose it.

Do you think Storylane delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Storylane's feature set?

No

Did Storylane live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Storylane go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Storylane again?

Yes

Storylane is the best platform for creating SaaS product tours to explain the functionality of your product. You can create multiple demos and replace the static non-interactive videos with demos created using Storylane. If there isn't anything functional in the product, consider using videos instead of a demo tour. Also, you can consider videos when visual appeal is a bigger factor than functionality explanation.
