Overall Satisfaction with Symantec

We have implemented both Symantec Endpoint Protection and Symantec Data Center Security. It is currently being used by 50000+ users. It is reducing the amount of infections and viruses spread through the network and locking down legacy (Windows Server 2003) servers that are end-of-life.

Pros

  • Detection rate of threats and remediation.
  • Using policies to lock down devices.
  • Ease of management.

Cons

  • Smaller definitions for endpoints.
  • Include software requirements (eg, .net framework ) when installing Symantec products.
  • Better integration and reporting with other products.
  • Faster response times for incident management.
  • Increased productivity.
  • Customer support and knowledge base from communities.
Symantec has a single agent which incorporates all relevant and needed technologies. Deployment of Symantec Endpoint Protection agent is easy. Better reporting and processes done are automated.
