Overall Satisfaction with TalentLMS

We use TalentLMS to provide HR and employment law training to our clients. We provide training on things from general trainings to state-mandated sexual harassment as well as advanced issues such as the interplay of different laws.

It is great as we don't have to schedule live trainings or coordinate schedules on either side to get all those that need to be in the training in the same room at the same time.

Pros

  • Easily to bulk upload users
  • Easy to mass assign courses

Cons

  • Mass deletion of users is difficult
  • Mass unassigning of courses
  • Some of the course in the library need safeguards to prevent employees from skipping to the end without viewing the entire video.
  • The ability to roll out courses to a thousand plus new users was a great time saver, both in how easy it is to upload users and how easy it is to add employees to a group and then have them receive all the courses for the group.
  • Significant savings in time by only having to create a course one time and then it lasts without having to rehash the same presentation.
They helped me through a particulary thorny SSO integration when the problem was nowhere on their end. They also are quick to respond to questions and help with common (or not so common) issues that arise.

Sometimes there is a little bit of a lag in terms of time, but it isn't anything that is detrimental.

All the answers have been helpful and not just gibberish put together by someone that doesn't understand the question or the product.
Integration was simple. It is very intuitive and probably even more so now with the new UX. I feel like anyone would be able to look at the system, perhaps review a few help articles in the help section, and be able to roll this system out without any major issues whatsoever.

Using TalentLMS to provide online training on state-specific harassment courses is a breeze. The ability to record a training once and then be able to use it repeatedly without having to go through creating the training is great. Additionally, there are some good courses in the can that are essentially plug and play.

The ease of use, the robustness of the offering, and familiarity.

It does everything we need and probably more. We likley don't utilize all the functionality it has as it does what we want it to without having to dig that deep into its tools.

Their course library also has saved us some time in terms of saving time from creating some basic courses.

Evaluating TalentLMS and Competitors

The ease of use was most important.

It was important for two reasons.

First, we wanted end users to be able to work with the system with as little interaction on our end as possible. We wanted to be able to 'set it and forget it'.

Second, we wanted to have to spend as little time on the day-to-day as necessary once we had the system running.
I would perhaps look at other new competitors to get a comparison.

This was a pre-pandeminc subscription and the remote learning space has grown significantly during that time out of necessity. However, I am not interested at this time in re-examining our subscription due to our familiarity with the system and the system's ease of use.

Yes, it was very easy to learn.

The platform is intuitive. If there are questions, the documentation takes care of most issues. If not, the support team has the answer.

At this point, the system is user-friendly and it is intutitive to use.

The basic support I do receive solved all but one problem. And that problem ended up not being on the LMS side.


It might be worth it for those less technically inclined, but if you can use windows, you can navigate through TalentLMS with intuition or by using the built-in help articles.
When we were trying to set up an SSO connection with a third party. They were trying to help us reolve the issue to the best of their ability.

The main issue is that I had no visibility to either the back end of the IdP or the backend of the LMS, so I was rather in the dark in terms of troubleshooting.

The issue ended up being on the IdP side, but instead of throwing their hands up, they tried to help me along as best they could.

Using TalentLMS

The system is intuitive. It does not have a lot of features that are hidden behind secret menus or elsewhere.

There are often multiple ways to get to the same place through different menus without having to go back to the home or root menu. It makes things pretty easy.

Additionally, if there is something I can't figure out, there is documentation available to help with that.

TalentLMS Reliability

The product can create as similar or unique experiences for different branches as you want for training purposes.
I have never run into an issue with downtime in 5 plus years.
It loads fast. Screen transitions are quick. Nothing seems to ever lag.
