Overall Satisfaction with Tango Card

Tango Card is the chosen payment card provider for a 3rd party my organization uses for employee recognition. Employees are able to transfer all or a portion of their balance into one of many forms of recognition. One option is a virtual visa card, but Tango Card has unilaterally and arbitrarily opted to place an expiration date on these claim codes AND balances. This is not standard practice as many consumers are able to hold a gift card without expiration dates. Further, the "claim code" does not apply to Utah law as UC §67-4a-102 which means the gift card was never issued, meaning I was taxed on these funds as earnings despite Tango Card being in possession of these funds 100% of the time.

For most, this would just be a frustrating issue you can work through with customer service. However, multiple attempts to correct this issue, including having Motivosity request on my behalf to re-issue these funds, AND creating a business case with the Better Business Bureau, has been met with negative customer service responses. I am recommending my organization terminate their contract with Motivosity as a result of Tango Card's anti-consumer practices.
