Overall Satisfaction with ThousandEyes

Its critical for the IT Teams to know when member-facing applications are down BEFORE the members call the contact center to report it. We monitor business critical web applications, most of which interact directly with our membership.
  • Visibility
  • Flexability
  • Alerting
  • Cloud Agents
  • Test Scheduling- Allow the tests to be run at different schedules... i.e. every 5 min during business hours, but maybe only every 30 minutes after business hours
  • Member satisfaction increases
  • Reduction in calls to contact center
One of the biggest differences is the ability to use an enterprise-agent. This is huge because not all web applications are available on the internet. There are a number of internal-only applications that we need to collect data on and monitor availability. Being able to test those from internal is really nice. Both applications have various agents around the world for testing, but only Thousand Eyes let you specifically run your own agent.

SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (npm)
Thousand Eyes is very useful in monitoring any web applications that you need advanced visibility into. It's easy to monitor / poll an application to see if it responds, but it's great to be able to interact with that application and verify that the end user will have a good experience. If there are any errors being displayed, if load-times are too high, or if a particular feature isn't wokring.
